A LIFETIME

A lifetime is what I have for you
Made up of single days
Each one so beautiful and special
As you are in all your ways

I want to shout ‘I love you echoes”
From the top of mountain peaks
I want to listen fervently
To every whisper that you speak

I want to gently hold your hand
And walk along the shore
Knowing that with each passing sunset
I only love you more

Whether your day be full of health
With laughter fun and play
Or if you should be lying ill
You know I’ll never stray

Yes, it is an entire lifetime
That I plan to give to you
Along with this old heart of mine
That promises to always be true.

So come with me, there’s lot to see
Before our days are done
Let’s sing praises to the Lord
Because he made us ‘one’.
